Norm Meltzer aka The Muscle-less Wonder

Norm Meltzer is a strength and conditioning coach who trains individuals and teams of all levels and ages, both in-person and virtually. Norm also consults on facility design, group education, and program development for colleges, high schools, and businesses.

Norm has served as a strength and conditioning coach for more than three decades and has trained professional, Olympic, college, and high school athletes. He has an extensive background in Olympic style weightlifting and is a former competitive weightlifter himself. Norm is a four-time New England Weightlifting Champion, and in 1995, he set two IAWA world records. As an athlete, Norm trained under preeminent weightlifting coach Brian Derwin, 1980 Olympic team member and president of USAW 1996-2000

Norm has an innovative training approach that is scientifically based, and he approaches his work with rigor and humor. Norm promotes his unique brand of fitness in his award-winning cable access TV show, Schvitz’n with Norm, and in regular columns for a variety of outlets.

Norm received a B.A. from Clark University in Environment, Technology & Society, with a concentration in physiological chemistry. He has been a National Strength & Conditioning Association Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) since 1991.
